The Video Monsters continue their discussion on the work of Kevin Costner with an under-the-radar, late-career gem: Thomas Bezucha’s LET HIM GO (2020). This is a tense, lean neo-western thriller with a huge heart and some excellent performances from a fiery Diane Lane and the Cos’ as her steady-hand husband who embark on a road trip across the 60s midwest to find their kidnapped grandson. So grab your kids before the Weboys do, meet us at the dinner table, and listen to how little restraint we have when it comes to making puns based on tonight’s title, LET HIM GO (2020)!
