Teacher tales: debunking the myths about teaching gifted students

Join TEP alumni Kimberly Silva (Mount Rowan Secondary College) and Dr Christine Lambrianidis (Suzanne Cory High School) as they tackle myths about gifted students in the classroom. Recorded before the 2023 Year 12 exams, this episode aims to dismantle misconceptions and problematic stereotypes of gifted students that extend beyond the classroom and traditional academic achievements. Parents and teachers looking to understand gifted students more deeply are highly encouraged to tune in!

What is the Teaching Excellence Program (TEP)?

TEP is an Australian first cross-sector program that enables highly skilled teachers to advance their capability and confidence in the classroom. Aimed at improving teacher skills and in turn student outcomes, TEP is a year-long program open to government, Independent and Catholic Victorian teachers.
