As a young girl, Kushe found her place in music, dance and drama clubs throughout her schooling. Her passion for the performing arts grew in her teenage years when she would represent her secondary school at talent shows across the country. Kushe embarked on her music career in 2010 doing background vocals for recording artists in studios across Kampala, Uganda. She released her first single ‘’Kanywani’’ in 2012. As an artist, she brings her Ugandan heritage and global influences to create a unique blend of both worlds. When asked what genre she identifies with, Kushe is adamant to choose and often says, "it's pointless to choose. Music is amorphous and should be treated as such. To try and fit melodic emotions into genres and identify with a single one is pointless to me. I’ll have it all." Kushe makes it a point to incorporate her native languages Runyankole and Luganda into her music. Lately, her songwriting reflects her journey of heartbreak and healing in the diaspora. Kushe has been featured on stages such as Laba Festival Uganda, So Far Kampala, Harambecouver, Carnival Del Sol Vanvouver and the Surrey Fusion Festival. She was also crowned Miss Uganda North America 2017. She is a captivating performer with a showmanship that exudes organic confidence and an authentic warmth and flare that is inspired by her motherland.
