Get to know Bea Monteiro, a globally recognized veterinarian with a passion for pain management and animal welfare. Bea's journey began in Brazil, followed by further education and professional experiences in Scotland and Canada. She holds a PhD in Chronic Pain from the University of Montreal and is the current chair of the Global Pain Council for the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA). With an Advanced Certificate in Feline Behavior and a Postgrad Diploma in International Animal Welfare, Ethics, and Law, Bea is dedicated to raising awareness and empowering veterinary professionals to provide the highest standard of care for animals in pain.
