UP Vargas Museum’s podcast, Vargas on Air, uploads its third episode with an essay on Juan Luna’s oil painting titled “Picnic in Normandy,” written by Pristine de Leon with a reflection by work-from-home intern Catherine Campos on Luna’s work in relation to time and isolation that we experience today. De Leon writes on Luna’s painting, which is part of the Vargas Museum permanent art collection, on view in the museum’s 2/F Main Gallery. The text is part of the museum’s latest publication, The Vargas Collection: Art and Filipiniana.
