De Rode Draad – Een nieuw links verhaal (met Kati Piri)
In De Rode Draad geven wij, Jelle, Rémon, Ko en Cato, je de context die je nog mist. Elke week duiken we met een gast in een nieuw thema: de transformatie van volkspartijen, veranderende idealen in een postmateriële samenleving, de kracht en kwetsbaarheid van fusie, en de toekomst van links.
In deze vierde aflevering spreken we met PvdA-Kamerlid Kati Piri over de stand van zaken rond de fusie tussen GroenLinks en de PvdA. We onderzoeken waarom deze poging tot samenwerking serieuzer en kansrijker lijkt dan eerdere fusie-initiatieven, welke gezamenlijke visie de nieuwe partij wil uitdragen, en hoe zij omgaat met interne kritiek, ideologische verschillen en de noodzaak om een geloofwaardig links verhaal te formuleren. Ook blikken we vooruit: wat staat de nieuwe partij de komende tijd te doen om momentum te behouden én relevant te blijven?
