
When our minds are racing, and we feel threatened by not having enough time, we become stressed. This state of being is necessary in an emergency, but too much of the time in our modern society, we are entering the 'fight or flight' response.
Our bodies and minds are connected so that we can make decisions to survive when a dangerous situation occurs. Unfortunately, the technology and ability to receive information all the time has caused many of us to be in a 'fight or flight' response too often.
Today, I will discuss how we can actively use our parasympathetic system to help calm the body. I will give examples of how to observe the mind and slow things down, which also relaxes our bodies.
