Page und Plant – das Doppelpaar von Led Zeppelin - liefert 1998 noch einmal neue gemeinsame Musik auf dem Album „Walking into Clarksdale“. Danach trennen sich die Wege der beiden aber wieder. Robert Plant sucht sich neue musikalische Partner. Er überzeugt mit Abenteuerlust und Freude am Austausch, Bandprojekte wechseln sich ab. Er sucht jedoch nicht mehr unbedingt die großen Arenen. Jimmy Page taucht über die Jahre als gefeierter Gastmusiker auf, er zeigt sich verantwortlich für das Erbe von Led Zeppelin. Mit der amerikanischen Bluegrass-Sängerin Alison Krauss nimmt Plant das Album „Raising Sand“ auf, das 2007 erscheint. Darauf präsentieren die beiden eine faszinierende Mischung aus Folk, Country, Blues und Rock. „Raising Sand“ wird ein Überraschungserfolg und gewinnt, neben anderen Preisen, 2009 sogar einen Grammy Award. 2021 setzen die beiden ihre Zusammenarbeit fort, das Ergebnis überzeugt erneut.
