Today is the seventh day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the seventh principle of Kwanzaa which is, Imani. Imani means Faith. On this day, we believe with all our heart in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.
Today is the sixth day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the sixth principle of Kwanzaa which is, Kuumba. Kuumba means Creativity. On this day, we always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
Today is the fifth day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the fifth principle of Kwanzaa which is, Nia. Nia means Purpose On this day, we make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
Today is the fourth day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the fourth principle of Kwanzaa which is, Ujamaa. Ujamaa means Cooperative Economics. On this day, we build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.
Today is the third day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the third principle of Kwanzaa which is, Ujima. Ujima means Collective Work and Responsibility. On this day, we build and maintain our community together and make our brother's and sister's problems our problems and to solve them together.
Today is the second day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the second principle of Kwanzaa which is, Kujichagulia. Kuichagulia means Self Determination. On this day, we teach resilience, define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves.
Oh, I think I am ready. I have been contemplating on doing this deep dive and analysis on the election, but it is worth it. Please listen with an open mind and heart before you write me off. Yes, I do go off as some points (as I should). However, I dd talk about some major themes that we are seeing in this major election. Please share with friends and family. Happy holidays!
Kwanzaa is celebrated from December 26 to January 1 every year. Each day of the celebration emphasizes one principle. Today is the first day of Kwanzaa. We celebrate the first principle of Kwanzaa which is, Umoja. Umoja means Unity. On this day, we honor and strive for unity in our families, communities, and race.
