How to become a TEDx speaker, choose the right topic and boost your Personal Brand?

We are discussing these and many other questions on this episode together with our special guest Dr Elena Pawęta, Executive Communication Coach and TEDx Organizer (Poland).

Our takeaways:

✅Make sure you have an idea. Being a subject matter expert is essential but not equivalent to have an idea. TEDx is about ideas worth spreading. It's not about how great you are, neither about being a professional speaker who's entertaining and inspiring the audience

✅An idea can be totally innovative or it can be about something we know already but the way presenting it is new and helps to change the audience's perspective

✅ Speaking at TEDx is not a quick self-promotion tool. You need to choose wisely the relevant event and approach it strategically. Make sure your idea is aligned with your Personal Brand definition.

✅ It takes many months of preparation to speak at TEDx. To get the return on these investments, you need to be clear on how your personal values, your story and professional expertise come up together with your idea
