Bill Whirity is an American  film director, writer, and woodworker from Chicago, IL. He studied Directing and Screenwriting at Columbia College, earning a Bachelor's degree in Film. After moving to Los Angeles, he began working in the Entertainment Industry. 

Bill is Italian on his mother's side and, in May 2021, started researching his family tree to determine if he was eligible for Italian Dual Citizenship by "jure sanguinis" (right of blood). Indeed, he was! By October 2023, his citizenship was recognized, and he proudly obtained his Italian passport. 

During the process, Bill kept detailed notes that became his new book: "The Complete Dual Italian Citizenship Handbook"—a guide to help others save money by taking a DIY approach to applying for Italian citizenship.
