Unstitched Vol. I | Marketing
Amy Smilovic sat down with Tibi VP of Marketing, Emeka Obi, and LinkedIn’s Head of Independent Agency, Tonya Garrett, to discuss the paths they took to get to their current positions. Obi, a New York native, got his start as a sales associate and over the last 15 years has become a lead marketing manager across the consumer product, retail, and music industry. Garrett began her career with a master’s degree from Duke University, and over the course of 18 years climbed from management consulting to achieving global success in the digital, advertising and marketing world. Though none of it happened as they expected, both concluded that honest peer relationships and perseverance led them to where they are today.
