Adam sits down with Deloris E. Jordan, older sister to NBA player Michael Jordan. and shares here story of being sexually abused and how she overcame that in her life to rise about it.

Deloris E. Jordan, the daughter and namesake of author and Chicago Philanthropist Deloris Jordan, and the older sister of NBA fame Michael Jordan could have never imagined all that would come from publishing her first book, In My Family’s Shadow. In the autobiography, she wrote openly of family dysfunctions and personal afflictions that included sexual, mental and verbal abuse, and all of the subsequent challenges that follow such traumas.

Merely following His guidance with great apprehension at the onset, she later came to realize that God had, in fact, used her writing as a catalyst in healing her from afflictions that she had long suffered in silence. Equipping her with the courage and strength she had never known, He challenged her with the task of being a voice of inspiration to others. For the past 19 years, she has found herself doing just that. Her autobiography would go on to exceed sales of 100k copies.

Deloris has now released a new book of inspiration titled; You Are Stronger Than Your Situations: PLEASE DON’T JUMP, to encourage and comfort those who feel exhausted by life and forgotten by God. Having dwelled at that crossroad for many years herself, she writes openly now of her journey to wellness. Using her personal experiences of brokenness as the backdrop of her writings, she shares messages of hope, strength, and resilience, interwoven with her Christian faith. Both books can be purchased on her website, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
