Ad lib: Darran Milne (MPhys 2008, PhD 2012). It's all in the storytelling

This is the sixth episode of the first series of the Kaleidoscope Alumni Network podcast series Ad Lib. A transcript of this podcast is available on the Kaleidoscope Alumni Network blog - here.

“If you can't think of a route to get from where you are to world domination, then you're not going think of it on the way” ~ Darran Milne

Darran talks to Akira about his journey from Scotland to the world. A self-described “huge quantum theory geek”, Darran shares his insights into bringing the AR/VR concept we’re so used to seeing in science fiction into the realms of science fact!

In this recording, you will hear the voices of:

Darran Milne (MPhys 2008, PhD 2012) is the founder and CEO of VividQ, a UK-based tech startup pioneering the integration of immersive 3D holographic display technology into every consumer device.

You can find out more about Darran on LinkedIn and about VividQ here.

Dr Akira O’Connor. Akira is a Senior Lecturer in School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews. He uses cognitive behavioural and brain-imaging approaches to understand episodic memory function. He is co-author of the book Colonised Minds, on the hidden origins of psychological thought that still influence how we teach and research the mind. Akira is also the institutional Race Equality Charter lead.

You can find out more about Akira on LinkedIn here.
