Dr Akira O’Connor. Akira is a Senior Lecturer in School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews. He uses cognitive behavioural and brain-imaging approaches to understand episodic memory function. He is co-author of the book Colonised Minds, on the hidden origins of psychological thought that still influence how we teach and research the mind. Akira is also the institutional Race Equality Charter lead.
