This week, UnityNow's Kimberly Eakin welcomes guest David Webb, a fellow volunteer for the Unity2020 project, and a pivotal player in that organization's primary. While UnityNow was being born elsewhere on the team slack, Webb was working on revolutionary new ranked choice voting software to help find the first ever Unity ticket. He shares his experience on that project, from signing up for the task, to programming, testing, and presenting his work, to the chaotic, stressful, and rewarding election day. Throughout this conversation, the two also reminisce about what brought them to Unity2020, about what friends and family thought about the project, and about its perception in media. The two also look forward, to see what current projects are best carrying on the values of unity, and how ranked choice voting has been growing in popularity since making its national primary debut.
