Episode 3: John Cowell - Costumes maketh the actor
In this episode, your hosts interview John Cowell, a textile artist who has worked in television, theatre and film for the past four decades. He has worked on projects such as Gangs of New York, Cinderella (the 2017 edition), The Crown, The Other Boleyn Girl, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and Game of Thrones. He most recently worked on Mary Poppins Returns, which is being released this December.
John discusses what textile design involves, the influence of textile and costume design on the fashion industry, and how he feels psychology intersects with costume design and fashion.
