Systems change requires new ways of thinking and doing to create a thriving world. We live in a time of interconnected crises - climate change, rising inequality and rapid urbanisation are urgently challenging our present and future. In Australia there are already more than 122,000 people without a safe, secure place to call home, and a chronic shortage of affordable housing. Join me in conversation with experts in the field as we unpack the relationship between homelessness and our changing climate. Together, we tell stories of our connection to place and planet as home.

Mobilising action and activism for the environment | Ben Walta

Human behaviour change is necessary to protect the environment and those who rely on it for survival. What is the difference between action and activism? How do we mobilise participation to help communities rebuild? And are there steps we can take to reduce the impacts of extreme weather altogether?

Ben Walta specialises in community development and has worked with Keep Australia Beautiful, CERES Global, Taungurung Land and Waters Council and more. He is currently on sabbatical in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Under One Blue Roof is featured in the Top 10 Australian Climate Change Podcasts of 2023.
