Kathy Dowd, the executive director of the The Audiology Project shares her perspective on how hearing loss and other disabilities can lead to neglect and elder abuse that is often unseen even by elderly caretakers. Listeners will learn how elder abuse reaches beyond the physical aspects and how hearing loss and vision loss can make people even more vulnerable to abuse for a variety of reasons.
