Unawa is a Filipino word that means "to understand". When it comes to Filipino youth wellness and mental health, there's not a lot that's understood. Created as a collab with Heart of YEG, join us as we explore various themes to understand these uncharted waters and break down the stigma surrounding it. Note: With our merger with Heart of YEG, this series has ended but talks continue under HOYtalk with a different focus! Check out the latest episode for details.

Episode 4, Part 2 - Where Can I Go For Help? ft. Andrew Lam from Catholic Social Services

Going beyond wellness social services that cater to the individual, we zoom out and see what’s out there for whole families especially for immigrant ones. April chats with Andrew Lam from Catholic Social Services (CSS) who’s the program coordinator of their family wellness program. He shares some really interesting insights into the more "hidden" conflicts of immigrant families and how CSS can help. Like with Emma, Andrew also gives some key advice about how to take care of your mental health during these times.
