What if your biggest fears became a reality. Would you die of embarrassment? Would you move countries?
In this episode I share very personal stories about being multilingual, and not been able to express myself fully in other languages than my native Spanish.
What does that have to do with business? Everything, in my case I stopped me for years from fully showing up because I was always self-conscious and feared that people would be mad at me or make fun of me for my not perfect English.
Well, guessed what? My fears were realized, and even more I was humiliated by a college professor.
It took me a LONG time, to take my power back and unapologetically FULLY show up and not be faced by the irrelevant comments you may faced (because you WILL face them at one point or another) but KNOW that you will NOT die, you will NOT fail, you WILL be able to go on.
Don't rub the world of your greatness because of a perceived OR experienced fear. You need to share your gift with the world. THAT's what you should care about, not about being perfect because Perfection is an illusion. In fact, perfection is an excuse.
In today's VERY short but sweet Episode, we're going to talk about a topic that's near and dear to my heart: repelling clients.
That's right, I'm a self-proclaimed (if secretly) rebel who likes to go against the grain and today, I want to discuss the concept of repelling clients.
I have personal experience with taking on the wrong type of clients. I didn't have a clear idea of what kind of clients I wanted to attract, and it caused a lot of headaches and stress. But I learned my lesson and want to share my experiences with you.
This isn't about being polarizing for the sake of being polarizing, but KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING that sharing your point of view can bring more of the RIGHT for YOU audience, and it's okay if not everyone loves you, in fact I would go as far as to say, it's required.

Despite its importance, clarity is often underrated and considered unsexy because it does not appear as glamorous or exciting as other aspects of business, such as innovation or disruptive strategies. Clarity may seem basic or even mundane, but its impact on business success is significant.
Clarity provide confidence, unwavering positioning, courage, and conviction. With Clarity you are better equipped to navigate challenges and uncertainties with a sense of assurance and determination.
Clarity acts as a compass, guiding you while minimizing distractions and doubts.
While we have been sold the idea that niche-ing can be rigid, restrictive process. Where if you don't go down to the last little detail of your audience or the problem you solve you are doing something wrong. I want to give you 'permission' to see it from a slightly different perspective.
Niche-ing is just a tool, strategic maybe but just a tool, and only a part of the equation at that.
Now before anyone gets offended, let me be clear. I am not saying niche-ing is NOT important, it is.
What I am offering here is an alternative way to look at it, so that both you and your potential clients get to experience a more expansive, and freeing process and leave room for evolution and growth.

Consistency for the sake of consistency is a trap. Consistency as many other topics in our industry is nuanced. In this episode I take a look at it from a different perspective.

"Your dreams are on the other side of fear" I don't know who said that but it's not mine.
But I love it because if there's a place that triggers all our fears even the ones we didn't know we had is entrepreneurship.
But watching my little one navigate life and how she has learned ONLY after trial and tribulations and pain how to be more cautious but what I admire in her and that she DOES do them. Sometimes even after falling or hitting herself many times.
And it gets me wondering. Where are we staying safe because of a real or imagined fear of...(failure, or even success?)

This is a break in the series of the podcast but I think it is an important one.
With all the "New Year" plan your year, word of the year out there, I for one feel a little bit overwhelm.
I used to do them, so I am not saying they are not useful, but as with everything, tools are like flavours, some are just not meant for you, no matter how popular they may be.
So instead I am offering another 'flavour' in case this is more your jam.

If you are listening to this episode at the time of release December 21, 2022 then Happy X-mas! Whether you celebrate it or not, this is a time to cozy up and spend some time with your loved ones.

This one is actually my older sister who gave me the idea.
She used to tell her little girl to 'shake it off' when they had a minor fall or bump. And I thought it was brilliant because you could see in their little faces that the moment went from escalating into just a game and my sister gave them a chance to asses weather the incident required a full on cry or just a kiss on the booboo and move on.
Similar for us in business, sometimes because we are not in touch with our feelings or because we have been taught by society that women cannot or should not express their feeling too much otherwise is considered overreacting sometimes we bottle it up so much that they may come out at the wrong time and in the wrong way.
So when a client frustrate us, our partners drives us crazy, a comment triggers us, think "Shake it off" and assess what are you feeling? Why are you feeling what you are feeling? Does it require a full blown tantrum (figuratively speaking) or can we just kiss the booboo and let it go.
The point is being more in tuned with our feelings and that sometimes requires us to take some time off of everything, especially in these holiday season.
