Tré Seals founded Vocal Type in 2016 in order to address how the lack of diversity of race, ethnicity, and gender in type has led to a lack of diversity in thought systems, ideas, and creations. Each typeface Vocal Type produces highlights a piece of history, from the Women's Suffrage Movement in Argentina to the Civil Rights Movement in America.
