We've all heard the question or seen it on social media. When did Star Wars get so political, when did Star Trek get so political, when did comic books get so political. Feels like every week they're complaining about how yet another property has been 'ruined by a political agenda'.
Well, we decided to talk about that now, in a time when a political agenda is threatening to actually ruin our media.
This episode signifies the 'start' of our supporting the WGA and SAG-AFTRA in their strike. Hollywood executives are trying to eliminate as many of the 'little guys' as possible from movie and TV/streaming show production, as well as stop paying residuals. They want to turn it into an even more corporate, paint by numbers, soulless media machine. Well, we're not going to stand by and let that happen. In spirit, at least. Not like we have the power to actually do anything about it.
But we'll cheer on the ones who actually have the power to fight back.
