The Idiots each have more than two decades experience with tabletop roleplaying games, having both run and played a wide variety of games. While their opinion on Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition differs these days, both find themselves irritated at the frequency at which people decide to try to brute-force D&D 5e into running something outside of it's wheelhouse, and decided to talk about some of the options if you want to do something outside of that high fantasy power fantasy niche, or you just want to try something new.
The options we present here are by no means a complete, exhaustive list, just a sampling of some of the games we're aware of. There are tons more amazing games out there, and I firmly believe that there is at least one game out there for any given person.
So, I want to run a game about a couple of no-talent idiots running a podcast without the slightest clue what they're doing or any kind of budget. How do I hack 5e for that?
