"Dr" Linda Burfield Hazzard and Her Sanitarium at Starvation Heights
Quack medicine has been around for as long as there have been people, peddled by the shrewd who victimize the naive. But the most dangerous of all are charismatic bullshitters who also have firm foundations and experienced knowledge in their chosen field. Enter "Dr" Linda Burfield Hazzard, an "alternative medicine" practitioner who advocated medically supervised fasting. In this episode we speak for the victims of Hazzard and the unspeakable torture endured by them at her sanitarium in Starvation Heights in Olalla Washington. Resources: 1.
