On this episode of Two Cents: We See Scary Movies, Talon and Dan tackle He’s Out There (2018), a home invasion horror that… well, had potential. Set in a remote lakeside cabin, a mom and her two daughters face off against a mostly silent killer with a flair for arts and crafts, red string mazes, and elaborate doll setups.
Let’s just say: the movie raises some questions. Like, why does he carry around a picture book? What’s with the eggs? And why does no one ever check the back seat?
This one wasn’t exactly our favorite, but it definitely fits the August theme: Home Is Where the Horror Is. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Pinterest and trauma had a baby in the woods—this might be it.
