In this episode we are celebrating banned book week. Brandi read 1984 and gives us a break down of the apocalyptic book. Kayla read Beyond Magenta, she tells the story of three transgender adults about how they felt growing up trans. We discuss our takeaways from both books and why they have been banned and challenged.

Our next read is In the Shadow of the Red Brick Building by Raymond Tony Charles. It's the true story of a survivor of the Canadian Residential Schools. It is around 110 pages, so we're tackling it in one episode and as always we hope you'll read along with us. In the meantime, follow us on Instagram or TikTok for podcast updates and other book stuff by searching @twobitchesreadingbooks.
