Halloween centers on dressing up in costume - often as witches and goblins, and asking for candy. Do you know the origins of this peculiar holiday? Why should Christians care?
Trick or Treat? We all know the question and we all know the time of year when many children dress up in costumes and go door to door asking for candy. Many adults even dress up at work or at the office and then head off to parties. And many groups have “christianized” this holiday even though it has a very spiritually troublesome history.
Do you know the origins of Halloween? And why does this even matter for Christians? Certainly, those who call themselves Christian would never intentionally do something sinful. The key question though is, Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
Today’s returning guests will dive into this question and provide some Bible-based and historical answers.

The concept of the Kingdom of God has long been a fixture of Christianity. The phrase "Kingdom of God" is often used by Jesus Christ and His disciples, including the Apostle Paul. Yet, as prevalent as the term is in modern Christianity, there appears to be confusion about what the Kingdom of God IS and WHERE it is… or where it will be.
The Encyclopedia Britannica states the following about the Kingdom of God: “The phrase occurs frequently in the New Testament, primarily used by Jesus Christ in the first three Gospels. It is generally considered to be the central theme of Jesus’ teaching, but widely differing views have been held about Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom of God and its relation to the developed view of the church.” WHY is there so much disagreement about this CENTRAL Christian tenet?
Some say that if you love Jesus, the Kingdom of God is in you. Some say the Kingdom of God is the Church. While others say the Kingdom of God is a real place and will even be on the earth.
How would YOU answer the questions “What and where is the Kingdom of God?” And, more importantly, how does the Bible answer this question, and how will this kingdom differ from mankind’s attempts at peace?
