Twelve Days in June - Part IV: Blackout

This is the fourth installment in a five-part series of speculative fiction. Written from the perspective of Lodestar Magazine journalist Max Ezer in 2022, Twelve Days in June examines real events leading up to the 2020 Presidential election and forecasts speculative events beyond.

In Part IV: Blackout, Trump’s efforts to squash the protests by cutting off communication have produced devastating effects on the nation’s economy. As high-profile former supporters start calling for his resignation, Trump’s increasingly frantic maneuverings incite a high-stakes situation far from the demonstrations in DC.
