HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE. ROAD TRIP!! I packed up my car and drove to Las Vegas to sit down with Jimbo the Drag Clown hours before their live show. After chatting about how we met, Jimbo recaps her days as a little kid, when she'd spend hours playing dress up with her brother until their scientist father put an end to it. She tells the story of how she started off studying biology in college to please her dad, and reveals the path that took her out west and how that led to discovering who she truly is.
I loved our conversation about coming out, hiding parts of ourselves, and the power of embracing what makes us different.
