
In this episode of the TRVL° Photography Podcast we sit down with Lisa LaPointe, a wildlife, conservation, and expedition photographer. She is also a trained naturalist and educator whose work spans all seven continents, with a special focus on the polar regions. She has an incredible story and images to match. Some background on Lisa, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan, where her academic studies deepened her lifelong fascination with the natural world. Early in her career, LaPointe spent several years working in Africa, focusing on wildlife conservation and field education projects that helped shape her scientific and ecological perspective. Since then, she has led photography workshops and expeditions across diverse ecosystems, from the savanna of Africa to the ice of Antarctica. She teaches photography workshops, often in remote or challenging environments, combining scientific insight and artistic vision.
