Bobby Brown is someone who strives to inspire, teach and create joy with everything he does. Part of his work as a manager or self-described “artist representative” encompasses that role of mentorship and guidance to the highest degree, shaping and growing the talents of 2 notable acts: Karl Benjamin, and Brighton’s Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn. We admit in our conversation that this chat could’ve gone on for hours - as to be expected when you get two Jamaican chatterboxes in the flow - and run through novel topics like:
✅ Planning the best funeral (make it a party)
✅ How to express yourself physically through art and movement
✅ How to challenge your thinking and philosophy (seek spaces where people don’t agree with you)
One of my favourite moments was Bobby’s description of his perfect day - a question I think I’ll ask a lot more on this show as our time goes on. Thanks for listening (it’s been a while since the last episode, I know, but I’ve got plans for season 2 so stick with me here!). Sending love and reminding you to always Trust Your Journey x
