In 2010 Anthony Barré, immortalized online as Messy Mya was a burgeoning YouTube vlogger and local New Orleans Bounce rapper. On November 14, 2021 someone shot Messy Mya to death. Anthony Baptiste Hamilton confessed to the murder but charges were dropped when another man reportedly confessed to the killing in 2013. Who confessed to the killing in 2013? Is the murder really unsolved or are the authorities simply unwilling to prosecute the killer?
