On October 1, 1913, the small commune of Le Landreau in the Loire-Atlantique region was rocked by a crime of rare brutality. Six members of a wealthy farming family, the Mabits, were found massacred on their farm. A carnage beyond comprehension.
Faced with the stupor and extreme violence of the act, the gendarmes remained doubtful.
It didn't take them long to discover who was really behind the crimes: a young servant, barely fifteen, named Marcel Redureau.
How did this obedient, shy, unremarkable teenager come to commit such a barbaric act?
