By teaching body literacy and the truth about birth early on, Girls Who Know is helping improve childbirth outcomes for the future.
Medically trained, Laurisa first encountered home birth while searching for better, safer, and more empowering options for women. Since then, she has served as a midwife assistant, doula, and instructor with Evidence-Based Birth. She lives in Texas with her husband and five children, where she embraces motherhood, outdoor adventures, and a mission to help others rediscover their worth and power, especially through the transformative seasons of puberty, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.
