Beverly Hills Chihuahua
“Kill me now” – Me, apparently 6 months ago.
Honestly, in hindsight, I have absolutely no reasonable clue as to why we covered this trilogy. Literally none at all. But at some point we decided, hey, let’s sit down and watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua and that’s gonna be a good time. So we did, we say down and we watched the movies, and reader, it was not a good time. It was an acid trip through a land of sheer discrimination and horrifying cgi.

Show-notes:
4:30: Here’s some information on 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Prisoner, because it’s interesting. Yeah I just linked Wikipedia. What are you gonna do about it? Also, check out Inevitable: A Classic Sci-Fi Podcast, on which we watched and discussed The Prisoner (1967 and 2009).
8:14: Air Buddies was extremely successful. Here, American Kennel Club talks about it a bit.
10:01: Tippet Studios actually still exists, and has taken on much better projects than Beverly Hills Chihuahua, namely things like The Mandalorian and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
10:16: Here’s an article with some pictures of Heitor Pereira recording the score to Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
11:46: Dalmatians are a notoriously difficult breed to take care of, so it was quite concerning that 101 Dalmatians sparked “dalmatian fever”.
17:11: I couldn’t find this video because every search term I could think of to find it gave me articles and videos about kid celebrities. Great.
31:28: I didn’t actually record the link of the review that I’m pulling this quote from sadly, and I’m probably not going to be able to find it now.
43:00: Here’s that mom blogger who attended a “behind the scenes” even of BHC 3 and asked questions to the dogs.
44:45: If you’ve never heard the story of the “no brown M&M’s”, allow me to enlighten you.
57:03: Amazingly, somebody actually downloaded the pilot to the animated tv show, so here, go watch it for yourself.
