By his sin, Samson had many times put himself in great danger, and every time the Lord saved him. However, after revealing his secret to Delilah, Samson was abandoned by the Lord. This judge of Israel sought to quench his unbridled sexual appetite, putting his life at risk. Yet his great sacrifice, at the climax of this story, reveals the sacrifice which the gospel requires.
