Though deeply flawed, Samson foreshadows Christ. Betrayed and rejected, he delivers Israel by God’s power—pointing to Jesus, who was also handed over, stood alone, and thirsted on the cross. Samson’s victory with a donkey’s jawbone and his cry for water mirror Christ’s triumph through the cross and His offer of living water. Through weakness, God brings salvation.
