GenZ and Woke Culture

While Millennials and Gen Z agree that we need to rebuild our world to make it liveable and likeable for all, the latter seems keener on the doing. 'Wokeness' or the awareness of social injustices and the questioning of the dominant paradigm, which is an inevitable characteristic of Gen Z, has greatly influenced the perception and execution of social impact in today's world. Today's youth care deeply about topics such as gender, sexuality, mental health, equality and rights, and climate change. They feel a need to bring change, and this sets them apart from their older counterparts.

Listen to our ChangeWarriors Rehaan Tomer, Amulya Amar Kumar and Krish Ramanujam come together to share what ‘woke’ means to them, and how they are taking action to bring social change.
