Manas National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage Site located along Himalayan foothills on Indo-Bhutan Border. Once a hotbed for poaching and illegal smuggling due to the Bodoland conflict has managed to restore its lost glory through community conservation efforts with help of government and other organisations. This podcast will give you insight on why Manas National Park is a success story of conservation and has managed to revive its rhino population from zero in 2003 to 43 number in 2020. This podcast gives insight on successful transportation of rhinos under IRV 2020 program to Manas and conversion of hard core ex-poachers into conservationist.
