The Magic of the Milky Way
Humanity has many homes. Earth. The solar system. But just as well: the Milky Way. It's our very own galaxy, an island of stars within the vast emptiness of space. The sun is only one of 100 billion stars within the Milky Way. We now know, that in reality, if you could look at it from far away, you'd understand that the Milky Way is a beautiful spiral galaxy. But we can only look from within. And from the vantagepoint of Earth, the Milky Way is a mighty band of stars, that stretches across our night sky, if it's dark enough. We look into one of the spiral arms and what lies beyond. Dust, stars and gas forms the backbone of the night, as it is known in some cultures.  Go onto this journey with Paul, as he explores our home galaxy from Earth.Further reading: https://science.nasa.gov/resource/the-milky-way-galaxy/ Music: royalty-free from incompetech.comHost: Paul Salazar
