What stops the scroll in 2024? And how do we actually make our lives easier when it comes to our business and marketing when the landscape keeps shifting, our brains are literally being changed by smartphones, the internet, and social media, and attention and engagement are at an all-time low? As two business consultants and coaches obsessed with content marketing, we are in regular inquiry and real-life client study about how to reach people when, in general, the people we’re trying to reach are overstimulated and overwhelmed by the amount of content they could be consuming at this point in the human existence. If we’re all on our devices filtering out what we want to read and doing it at lightning speed, how do we actually land with our audience? Hint: there’s value in making it easy. Topics discussed in episode 2: Creating an engaging content strategy with scroll stopping content that actually orients to the current digital moment Making less work for our audience, our clients, and ourselves—rather than making more, how can we make it easier The new online era in which graphics don’t need to be fancy. and short, concise, and minimal “wins” The value of sharing your voices more than your aesthetic Developing a strategy that is human-centered rather than internet-centered Creators mentioned: Raudhah Rahman @raudhah.rahman and Casey Tanner @queersextherapy For full show notes and transcript link visit www.reimaginingonlinebusiness.com

183. Steps to reinventing a more aligned business
In this episode, Brooke discusses her feelings of restlessness and the need for change and reinvention that arise in the Spring and Fall. If you get similar feelings during the year and are looking for tips on how to deal with this episode is for you. Brooke shares the five things she does when she starts feeling like she needs to reinvent her business: 1. Follow your ideas and get curious about the specific details that are floating around in your mind. 2. Notice the overlaps between your new ideas and the things you are already doing. 3. Keep moving through the uncertainty and confusion that may arise during the process. 4. Focus on the one thing that you can put out there right now, and start. 5. Do not give in to the impulse to just try harder at things that you’re already doing. If you’re ready to get clear on your ideas that you want to bring to life, head over to brooke-monaghan.com/alignedbusinessportal to join Brooke in the live four-week cohort of the Aligned Business Portal!
