Once again, we were privileged to take our remote studio "on the road" and set up at the 2025 Katy Pride celebration.

Despite some last minute drama, caused by so-called "family values" groups making veiled threats against the venue with whom the Katy Pride organization had had a contract for some six months, the heroes on the Katy Pride board pulled off a major miracle. Typhoon Texas, the original venue, cancelled the event, with less than three days notice, citing vague worries about "violence", and this despite local law enforcement stating that they had "no credible threat". Helping to pull off the miracle, was Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner, Lesley Briones, who, we understand, arranged for the use of the Bear Creek Rodeo Arena for the event.

Trans Truth, along with all of the organizers, vendors, performers and patrons, is profoundly grateful for Commissioner Briones' bold leadership.
