Welcome to the horror show of Episode 67, where we close our Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson chapter and pickup our next theme of "Great Books, Terrible Movies." This week the hosts subject themselves to one of Brett's beloved Young Adult genre books that made it to the silver screen with this showing of "Eragon", which is available on Max.
Our hosts wrestle with the deep literary themes at play here like whether not having any discernable character development was a good choice. Or what is the film maker trying to convey by having no real timeline that the plot happens within. Ultimately this leads to speculation on how ineffective management styles are probably holding the Empire back from maximizing shareholder value. Sad.
Next week, the hosts are watching more "Great Books, Bad Movies" with a viewing of "The Woman in the Window" which is available on Netflix.
