Dice Tsutsumi and Erick Oh sat together to have a conversation about OSCAR shortlisted animation 'OPERA'. OPERA is a massive 8K size animation piece which reflects our human society. Let's hear how Erick created this ambitious project. This interview will be up until March 15th.

The existence of these acorns are the perfect encapsulation of this: Small acorns spread far away with the power of nature, root down to the earth, and then transform into mighty trees many times their original size, and thus starts a new journey. What journey is waiting for the acorns?

In this interview Celine talks about her journey as an artist, the transition to working from home, & her thoughts on certain trends in animation. We hope you enjoy! Stubby, Back to the Moon; and her Production Design work on Age of Sail won the 2019 Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. Today's Tonkocast guest is film Director and Animator, Siqi Song. Siqi's film, "Sister" an Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Short Film is a stop-motion piece which tells the story of a man who remembers his childhood growing up with an annoying little sister in 1990s China.

Our Tonkocast #3 guest is Erick Oh, a favorite of Pixar's animators. Erick served as the animation supervisor on the short film The Dam Keeper who Dice and Robert trust as an animator and filmmaker much more than themselves at times. Erick is also a prolific film director who made 10 short films on his own. Tonko House has been blessed with tremendous support from this amazing community of animation industry.
