Futurist Calum Chace discusses Artificial Intelligence & the Future Of Work from his book, The Economic Singularity: Artificial intelligence and the death of capitalism".
Artificial intelligence is overtaking our ability to absorb and process information, and its possible that within a few decades, most humans won't be competitive in the job market. All careers will be affected, making this the single most important development facing humanity in the near future. Universal Basic Income isn't the solution - we'll need an entirely new economic system, and we needs to start planning soon for the Economic Singularity!
Calum Chace is a futurist and recognized subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence. Calum has 30-years of career experience in business strategy, marketing and journalism working as a marketer, strategy consultant and CEO. He studied philosophy at Oxford University, and maintains his interest in business by serving as chairman and coach for growing companies.
In 2012, Calum retired to focus on writing and speaking, and today he is a sought-after keynote speaker, blogger and best-selling author specializing on topics related artificial intelligence.

Google says its new quantum chip indicates that multiple universes exist - are they correct? William Munizzi discusses Google "Willow" and the Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics.
Per Wikipedia, Several authors, including Everett, Wheeler and Deutsch, call many-worlds a theory rather than an interpretation. Everett argued that it was the "only completely coherent approach to explaining both the contents of quantum mechanics and the appearance of the world." Deutsch said that to call it an interpretation "is like talking about dinosaurs as an 'interpretation' of fossil records."
If the Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics is real, the parallel dimensions exist, and quantum computers can access them to perform calculations. This may explain how Google's quantum Willow chip can perform calculations that would take a leading supercomputer 10 septillion years, which is longer than the age of the universe.
IIf the Many Worlds Interpretation of QM is validated, it may have larger implications to our understanding of the universe. Bryce DeWitt claims that Everett, Wheeler & Graham "do not in the end exclude any element of the superposition. All the worlds are there, even those in which everything goes wrong and all the statistical laws break down." In other words, a diverse number science-fiction worlds from TV shows like "Sliders" become plausible.
William Munizzi is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). His research surrounds various mathematical aspects of quantum information and high-energy physics, with a primary focus on entanglement, quantum algorithms, quantum sensing, and error correction. William received his PhD in physics from Arizona State University, where his thesis explored foundations of quantum information, and their interpretation in quantum gravity.
William is particularly interested in the dynamics of quantum computing resources under the action of operator groups, as well as high-energy applications of various quantum properties. His research has recently expanded to include optimization of entanglement-based quantum networks, and the design of quantum sensing arrays for improved particle detection.
