Alain (pronounced Uh-LAN) has worked in IT for 25 years. For much of that time, he’s focused on virtualization platforms from Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft and several related technologies to automate, monitor, and manage the end-user experience. He started using PowerShell in 2008 and utilizes it daily to make Citrix easier to manage for everyone. He’s worked in several diverse businesses such as architecture, small business, manufacturing/distribution, medical (hospital and medical devices), government (federal), and industrial (chemical and electronics) all with an IT focus. He now lives in North Carolina with his wife of 22 years and his 2 teenage boys. He currently works for the second largest credit union in the USA. Alain is a Citrix Certified Expert in Virtualization and also has the Network+ certification from CompTia. Since September 2017, he’s been a participant in the Citrix Technology Advocates program. It provides Citrix enthusiasts meaningful recognition for their community contributions, provide unique opportunities to connect with Citrix peers and internal stakeholders. In September 2017, his blog at Wagthereal.com (started in 2008) was included in Feedspot’s Top 50 PowerShell Blogs And Websites For Developers. In June 2018, he became a co-leader of the Raleigh-Durham Citrix User Group. He maintains several repositories on GitHub (including gists and code) related to managing Citrix and Windows. He has started a new blog based on Github pages where he highlights PowerShell-based solutions for managing EUC environments called PowerEUCShell.
