Originally from Georgia, Elena Sitnikova is an award-winning academic and researcher, Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Networking, at the College of Science and Engineering, at Flinders University.
Elena is a global leader in Critical Infrastructure protection and cybersecurity. She is recognized as a national contributor to Australia’s ongoing defence. Her contribution to the field is demonstrated through multiple competitive grants she has received from industry, State and Federal Government partners in Australia.
For her educational achievements she has been awarded the internationally recognised Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and an Australian Award for University Teaching.
She is also the winner of the AI in cybersecurity for the Women in AI awards 2022 australi and NZ.
