Kim Carroll is an interior designer based in northeast Ohio who has been working with homeowners and businesses for nearly three decades to help them create interior spaces that reflect the unique tastes of each client.
In this podcast series, Kim discusses both the art and science of interior design, including her unique process for helping clients discover what they truly want their interior space to look like and feel like. Kim studied at Cuyahoga Community College, Denison University and Ursuline College. She began her design career by assisting one of Cleveland's premiere designers, and working at the Ohio Design Centre. She spent 14 years at Reflections Interior Design, and 7 years as the In-Home Consultant at Country Curtains.

Manufacturers, world events, technology, and designers themselves influence how we decorate our homes. Some trends have a profound impact on the design world, such as mid-century style, and have had an extraordinary resurgence, while others just disappear. Did you know that the use of light paint on interior walls was developed by a former actress turned interior designer? Did you know that shag carpet was a trend nearly 50 years ago and has returned?
Some examples of furniture pieces started out as trends but, because of the integrity of their design, they become classics. Kim discusses some of these classic pieces and why they’ve remained popular with designers.
