The Octopus Murders are a series of unsolved murders including a suicide that may not have been a suicide, governmental gun running operations to foreign countries, illegal drug production by the CIA, stolen spy software with backdoors to spy on the governments around the world that purchased it to spy on their own people, money laundering, and it all connecting all the way to the top to the then presidental elections of Ronald Reagan.
