#3- can we feel the future? (presentiment & premonitions)
In this episode, your host, Jasmine, talks about the overwhelming evidence for, and the experiments surrounding, gut feelings, and other types of presentiment, especially regarding premonitions and the unconscious versions of presentiment for which researchers have used objective physiological measurements! TW* This episode discusses the premonitions of mothers who have still-births, and those of the victims of 9/11, at length- as well as some discussion around pregnancy and grieving those who have passed over. We’ll be covering things like the gut brain, the nature of time, escaping death through intuition, people who predicted their own surprising deaths, nocebos, + asking are these premonitions or anxiety? Mainly looking at objective physiological evidence for presentiment- e.g. measurable anticipatory bodily reactivity 🎙️👀 —Resources— -Dean Radin's book 'Entangled Minds' -David Robson's book 'The Expectation Effect' -Bonnie McEneaney's book ‘Messages: Signs, Visits, and Premonitions from Loved ones lost on 9/11' -Eaker, E.D., Pinsky, J., and Castelli, W.P (1992).
